Enjoy this wonderful musical celebration of the holidays, featuring creative arrangements of Christmas favorites old and new, a musical tribute to Hanukkah, and other works inspired by the season. The wide-ranging program includes a fun musical fantasy of Jingle Bells, Howard Hanson's profound masterwork for Band entitled Dies Natalis, and an arrangement of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. A trio of MetWinds trumpeters plays Leroy Anderson's famous Bugler's Holiday, the St. John of Damascus Church Choir (Andrew Hazerjian, Director) joins the band for the beautiful Pacem Noel, and MetWinds family members are whip and jingle-bell soloists on the classic Sleigh Ride. The joyous evening concludes with a good-old Christmas Sing-Along! Don't miss the festive cocktail hour at 6 pm and the amazing desserts afterwards. All proceeds will benefit St. John of Damascus.
